And it’s on a collision course to South Georgia (no no, it’s not Georgia, the country in Europe and definitely not the Georgia in America) South Georgia is an island in the South Atlantic Ocean that is part of the British Overseas Territory of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

Not many people actually live there other than Seals, Penguins and other wildlife.

It’s called A23A and with an area of about 3,500 sq km, it broke off from Antarctica as far back as 1986 and has just been ‘chillin’ on the sea bed up until 2020 when it started actually moving.

They are a religious organisation that allows their members (called Elevationists) to bring their own cannabis products (or sacraments as they are referred to) and consume them at their meetings.

According to their website, “Through ritual, guided by spiritual practice, church members use the sacred flower to reveal the best version of self, discover a creative voice and enrich their community with the fruits of that creativity. Unlike other belief systems, there is no need to convert to Elevationism. It claims no divine law, no unquestionable doctrine, and no authoritarian structure. Therefore, those of all religious and cultural backgrounds are welcome to visit our chapel and take part in our celebrations.”

THey were founded in April 2017 and like other religious communities, they hold services, volunteer in the community and even conduct weddings

The cool kids over at Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd in China recently launched DeepSeek. It’s a new AI model that the internet won't stop talking about.

Why you ask?

Well for one, it’s just as powerful as ChatGPT, secondly it’s costs significantly less money to develop. For context, it cost them approximately $6 Million to develop as opposed to the $100 Million OpenAi spent on GPT-4 in 2023.

Crazy stuff huh?

Yup! And they did this all using a combination of older and less advanced chips, bypassing restrictions on U.S. exports of high-performance semiconductors.

As a result, Team Green aka Nvidia (the company that makes the chips used to train AI Models) took a massive hit to their stock losing them a staggering $600 billion in market value—the largest one-day loss in U.S. history.
